🏃‍♂️North Beach 5K Run/Walk

📍Time and Location

• Location: North Beach Oasis, 100 Kewaunee Street, Racine, WI 53402
• Packet pickup: 8:00 am - 8:45 am
• Race start: 9:00 am

🚶‍♀️Course

This is an out-and-back course starting at the North Beach Oasis. Participants will proceed north on the paved bike trail, enjoying scenic views of Lake Michigan to their right. The course continues onto Michigan Blvd, where a turnaround point will direct participants back to the finish line.

🏆Awards

• Recognition pins: Awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each 5-year age group.
• Finisher's medal: All finishers will receive a custom finisher's medal.
• Commemorative towel: Available while supplies last.
• Additional perks: One complimentary beer for participants aged 21 and over, goodie bag, and entry into a post-race raffle.

🚗Parking

Parking is available at the North Beach Oasis and in the surrounding areas.

🌊Water Safety - Important Information

After the race, we encourage you to enjoy the beautiful beach! However, please take a moment to learn about the potential dangers of Lake Michigan rip currents. These strong currents can quickly pull swimmers away from the shore and can be life-threatening.

• Swim areas: Always swim in designated areas where lifeguards are on duty.
• Buddy system: Never swim alone.
• Water conditions: Be aware of the water conditions and heed any warning flags that are posted.
• Rip currents: If you find yourself caught in a rip current, do not panic. Swim parallel to the shoreline until you are out of the current, and then swim back to shore.
